Athletic RHH catcher, with a lot of room to fill out. Open stance, toe tap load, able to stay connected, with a leveled swing. Was able to find multiple barrels throughout the ballgame, including a RBI double. A great player to follow as the tournament continues. Also showed a lot of confidence behind the plate with a 2.12 pop time.

Fit RHP, works with a medium leg lift, full stroke and a H/4 arm angle. Drops and drive creating a lot of hip-shoulder separation. High effort delivery and moves very cleanly down the mound. Strike thrower, able to command and tunnel his pitches extremely well. Had an amazing performance keeping the opposition at bay and holding them off at 2 runs before getting taking out in the last inning. Great command, and generates a lot of swing and misses. Able to throw all his pitches for strikes. An arm that is worth keeping an eye on for the rest of the tournament and after as he continues to develop and mature.

Strong, physical 1st baseman w/ a wide, balanced stance and a minimal coil load, keeping his movements simple and efficient. Shows good discipline and feel at the plate, staying back on a breaking ball and using quick hands to turn on it, driving a hard LD 1B to the pull side. Consistently found barrels throughout the day, tallying multiple hits and showing the ability to make quality adjustments in different counts. Lanky, projectable LHP w/ a smooth ¾  arm slot, working downhill with a natural angle, and fluid tempo. Utilizes a long, aggressive stride toward the plate creating a tough looks for hitters with built-in deception and late ball release. Features clean, repeatable mechanics that allow him to stay in rhythm and consistently fill up the zone. Adds value with an effective, quick pickoff move that keeps runners in check and controls the running game well. Shows poise on the mound with plenty of upside as he continues to develop physically.

RBI 2B off the left-field wall, showcasing his ability to do damage to the pull side with authority. On the mound, he works from a full windup with a deliberate high leg lift and a smooth, repeatable delivery from a clean ¾  arm slot. Drives downhill w/ intent, creating quality extension toward the plate and consistently challenging hitters in the zone. Brings a competitive edge as a true two-way threat w/ real presence on both sides of the game.

Strong, physical frame paired w/ a high, aggressive leg kick that helps himwork smoothly downhill. Works from a H ¾  arm slot with clean, fluid arm action and excellent extension out front, creating tough angles and good late life on his FB. Shows confidence on the mound, consistently attacking hitters, and demonstrating the ability to locate effectively to all 4 quadrants of the zone.

Strong, stable lower half provides a solid base, paired w/ a controlled toe tap load and an efficient weight transfer into the swing. Shows maturity at the plate with situational awareness, staying short to the ball and driving a well-struck line drive to CF for a sacrifice fly. Keeps the approach simple, getting the job done and bringing the runner home w/ a quality, team-first at-bat.

Connor Bagnall (‘27,CO) • 3B/RHP • Uncommitted •  6’1 180lb


Young RHP impressed for the CG. Dominated from pitch 1, consistently filling the zone. FB had good late life generated lots of whiff up in the zone. CB had a 12-6 break to it, able he was able to  land it in any count. CH was a valuble secondary against  LHHs w/ late fade. Able to consistently repeat a free & easy delivery. The ability to mix pitches consistently, while being in the zone, payed off big time across 7 scoreless innings of work only giving up one hit and walking one. Big frame with a high ceiling that can take his game to the next level w/ the progression of strength over next couple years. Noticeable command that many collegiate programs should take notice of.

RHH 3B/RHP showcased the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Strong presence in the box w/ above average bat speed and plate discipline. Showed ability to use both deep gaps w/ raw power present. Athletic footwork in the INF w/ good, accurate arm. Finished the game on the mound, FB has late ride and showed a good feel for spin on the SL which showed lots of horizontal sweep. Physical athlete.

Hard contact on the barrel all day staying through the middle of the field. Hands work well and is a physical middle of the lineup type of hitter. Showed good adjustability with his hands when seeing spin. Mature approach with a quiet load and explosive hands.

Attacked hitters all day throwing multiple pitches for strikes. Good ride to the fastball with a slow and under control motion. Slider is tight with sharp break that missed a lot of barrels. OTT arm slot with a high leg kick. Pitachbility is present with room to grow as he continues to get older. Creates distinct pitch shapes with separation, an advanced arsenal for his age.

Works from an OTT arm slot with a long, aggressive stride that drives him down the mound and generates quality extension toward the plate. Clean, repeatable mechanics allow him to consistently get on top of the ball and work downhill, creating a tough plane for hitters. Falls slightly toward the first base side on his finish, maintaining tempo and balance throughout. Closes out the game in dominant fashion, securing the final out to cap off a combined no-hitter.

Sets up in a compact stance w/ a controlled, low leg lift to stay on time. Shows a solid weight transfer, sinking into his backside effectively and staying balanced throughout the swing. Also tallied another base hit later on in the game, showing consistency and a confident approach at the plate.

Displays a compact, controlled approach at the plate w/ a slight uppercut that allows him to create natural lift. Sinks into his backside efficiently, generating power from his lower half while maintaining balance throughout the swing. Stays short and direct to the ball, driving a hard-hit 1B back up the middle with clean barrel contact. Shows a simple, repeatable swing w/ good rhythm and the ability to consistently find the barrel.

Super athletic player, that showed off in his first game at Black Bear. Uses a slightly open stance with a small leg kick. Gets the foot down early and tries to do damage on every swing. Very mature at-bats that resulted in a productive day at the plate.

Athletic stance with a balanced, controlled setup — keeps the hands low pre-load before working into a smooth, connected move through launch. Uses an upright swing path, allowing him to stay inside the ball and create consistent line drive contact to all fields. At 5’10” 175lb, he shows a strong foundation with room to add strength, giving him clear offensive projection as he continues to develop.

Athletic RHP with advanced body control and impressive tempo throughout his delivery. Moves extremely well down the mound with a high-effort, explosive drop-and-drive motion that creates strong shoulder-hip separation and generates velocity efficiently. Works from a high 3/4 arm slot with a full, loose arm stroke that produces clean, late life on the fastball. Showed feel for his entire arsenal while maintaining composure and presence on the mound. Stood out as one of the most dynamic movers in the event and projects well as he continues to develop.

RHH with a confident presence in the box and ability to consistently find barrels. He worked from a wide base with a low leg lift and short stride, staying simple and balanced throughout the swing. His approach translated in-game, where he went 2-for-2 with a 2B to the RCF gap (90 mph EV), 2 RBI, and a pair of stolen bases. Defensively, he showed range and body control in the outfield, making several quality plays. With his athleticism, efficient swing, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways, he’s a highly projectable prospect to follow.

Had some loud barrels in the opening game of the tournament. Strong, compact swing that generates lots of power to the pull side. Balanced stance with a small toe tap. 2 loud loud barrels, with one of them just missing a HR off the top of the wall. Physical, strong 6'3 200lb frame.

James was a very important player in today’s win for SBA, going 3 for 3 and helping out his team scoring in runs and batting them in. One of the hits being a double down the 3B line. He finished the game with a perfect 1.000 OBP. An interesting player to follow as this tournament unravels.

RHH C plays w/ high motor and doesn’t take a single pitch off. Wall behind the plate, saved multiple runners from scoring/advancing. Smooth catch & throw, on the money consistently. Shows ability to control runner game himself, will back pick w/ confidence at anytime. Great receiver that works under the ball effectively and stole numerous strikes for his staff. Controlled the game w/ vocal leadership. Showed raw juice in the box w/ a couple loud pieces of contact. Very good runner for C. High Level catcher at next level that will continue to refine his tools & strength.

Johnstone had himself a day at the plate and on the base paths. He made a big contribution to his team on the run rule win going 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored and 2 stolen bases. Evident contact tool, with minimal whiff in his offensive game. Good player to follow as he continues to fill out and develop.
