Max Fernandez (‘28, FL) • RHP • 5’10” 180lbs
Fernandez gave the Los Explorers 2028 a quality start today, keeping RBA Citius at bay and off the bases for 4 solid innings. He located his FB well to both sides of the plate, and mix speeds with his CB. He was able to induce weak contact throughout his start, preserving the lead through the end of his day. A solid arm to be mindful of for the rest of the week.

Caleb Garcia
(‘28, TX) - RHP - 5’10” - 175lb
Final Line: 4IP, 2H, 0R, 0BB, 8K
Garcia went the distance for RBA Citius, shutting down 2028 Gators Blue for 4 innings while only allowing 2 base runners. He was dominant on the island, locating both his FB and SL to any part of the plate. When he wasn’t striking someone out, he was getting the opposition to roll over and get themselves out with ground balls and weak pop-ups. Garcia should be an arm on people’s radars for the remainder of the tournament and in the future.

Washington was the catalyst at the top of the order for RBA Citius, reaching base in all 3 of his at-bats, and barrelling the baseball during 2 of them. His inside-out approach at the plate helped him snag a double and a single during the game, and he was able to showcase his speed by scoring from 1st on a Benjamin Terry double. Charlie Mathias (‘30, SC) - RHP - 5’11” - 145lb
Final Line: 4IP, 5H, 2R, 1BB, 5K
Mathias was able to provide the USA Prime Carolinas 13u a quality start, ultimately throwing a complete game. Charlie used his 3 pitch mix effectively, dotting both sides of the plate with his FB, and keeping hitters off balance with his CH and CB. Emmett Hasey (’28,FL) • RHP/3B • Uncommitted • 5’10” 140lb
RHP impressed with an efficient outing, tossing 5 shutout innings while allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks with a pair of strikeouts.
