Gavin Chakar (‘28, CT) • RHP • 6’3 196lb
RHP with some truly electric stuff for his class. Lanky build with room to fill out, and a very high ceiling. ¾ arm slot, utilized a 2-pitch mix in his outing. FB overpowered hitters, sitting at 90-91, and topping at 92. High RPM and outlier EXT on the FB helped it to play even firmer. He paired that with a power CB with late downward bite. Advanced feel for the CB being able t land it for strikes. Pounded the zone consistently throughout his outing. Chakar is one of the top 2028s in the country and will be a name in national conversations for years to come.
