Ryder Sheffield (‘29, NC) • MIF/RHP • Uncommitted • 5’5 135lb
Medium leg lift w/ a deceptive delivery from a submarine arm slot, occasionally mixing in a standard 3/4 slot to disrupt timing. Uses a three-pitch mix of FB/CH/SL to keep hitters off balance. FB has heavy arm-side run, CH dives late, and SL sweeps across the zone like a frisbee. Creates consistent swing and miss and weak contact. Stays composed, works quickly and efficiently, making hitters uncomfortable w/ his changing looks and movement-heavy arsenal. Tough matchup that brings a unique look out of the bullpen or as a starter.
