College:

Winthrop University 2003

Experience:

A native of Chapin, S.C., Jeremy has been working in the baseball industry since 2009. In 2009, he served as pitching coach for Chapin High School, and in 2010 was hired as the pitching coach of junior college powerhouse, Young Harris College (Ga.). After a year at Young Harris College, Jeremy spent 2 years respectively as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Ball State University (2011-2012) and UNC Asheville (2013-2014).

Jeremy joined Prospect Select in the summer of 2014 and took over the role of managing the Carolinas region. The early success of the Black Bear Classic and the Greenville Fall Classic tournaments, coupled with the pre-existing growth of PS Florida events, allowed Prospect Select to start the process of organic growth up the East Coast, Midwest, and Northeast. As Prospect Select has continued to grow, Jeremy has transitioned to a management role to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the company.

As a college athlete, Jeremy was a left-handed standout at Winthrop where he earned 3rd Team All-America honors as a senior in 2003 after leading the Big South Conference with an 11-3 record. As a senior, he was voted by the Big South Conference's sports information directors as the league's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year. Also, he earned the Winthrop Senior Academic Award for the highest GPA for a senior male and Big South Presidential Scholar accolades.

Jeremy was drafted out of Winthrop in the 19th round of the 2003 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Montreal Expos. He played professionally for 6 years.

Statement from Jeremy:

"I'm honored to be given the opportunity to serve as President for Prospect Select Baseball. PS Baseball has been my passion since 2014, and we are still very early in the process with a lot of ideas and a big vision for the future. Ultimately, we want to help as many young athletes reach their goals as possible!”
