Tristan Escobar (‘28, FL) • C • 5’10 170lb
Defensively, he showed smooth feet, a quick transfer, and a strong arm as he threw out 2 baserunners behind the plate. At the plate, he notched a bases loaded 1B, and then he followed that up with the walk-off 2B to advance his team to the championship. Escobar has a unique setup at the plate, with an upright stance and high hands. He uses a simple load and quick hands to barrel the ball to all fields.

Leonardo Noguera (‘28, FL) • C • 5’8” 170lb
Noguera had a big day at the plate, collecting 2 hits including an RBI 2B that left the bat with an EV of 98mph. He is a strong LHH with muscular legs. He sets up at the plate in a wide stance, waits on his back leg before using a leg lift and stride to transfer his weight. Keeps his balance and momentum at, and through, contact. Noguera possesses impressive raw power and with a feel for the barrel.

Adrian Freire (‘29, FL) • LHP • 5’11 165lbs
Freire works with a confident presence on the mound. He starts his windup with his front foot closed and torso upright, he then slides into an exaggerated and controlled leg kick that helps him stay balanced and get to a strong power position. The LHP works downhill, with a loose and whipping arm action from an OTT slot. Came up clutch with a big outing on the mound in the semifinal game, went 6 scoreless on 5 Hits Allowed with 7 Ks.

Sebastian Hickey ('27, FL) • RHP/OF • Uncommitted • 6’0 155lb
Hickey is a lanky RHP, with a clean linear motion down the slope. Throws with full intent while not compromising his mechanics. FB got up to 84mph in his outing with more velo coming as he fills out his frame and his body matures. Threw his FB and secondaries for strikes throughout his outing today.

Lanky RHP ~ funky arm action, drives down the mound w/ intent. 2 pitch mix, shows ability to land both for strikes. Started for Los Explorers today striking out 4 over 2.1 IP. #MiamiOpen | #uncommitted

Jose Acosta (‘29, FL) • CF/LHP • Uncommitted • 5’4 115lbs
The athletic looking lefty from Cypress Bay High School had himself a sharp start in this morning’s playoff game, in which he kept his team in the game with his stellar pitching. He had a solid presence on the mound, and even in sticky situations, he found a way to locate pitches and get himself out of those situations. The two-way worked from the stretch, with an upright & relaxed position pre-pitch, with hands close to his body. He then gets into a leg kick that has some tempo, keeping his weight on that back foot. He finds extension well, having a whippy OT arm action and a loose finish. Once he fills out, it’ll be nice to see the ability he will obtain.

Jesus Taioli
(‘31, FL) • C/3B • Uncommitted • 5’9
Strong-legged RHH put on a show today in the box with his ability to be a huge clutch hitter. In the box, he showcases a closed, low yet upright & athletic stance. With his legs wide, he gets into a small yet extensive stride, keeping his backside intact in order to explode on pitches. He has great bat to ball skills, watching pitches all the way to the catcher's glove & being decisive in his swings. Taioli does a great job of keeping hands close to body, and extending with a short yet complete finish. He keeps his body compact, with his short and direct swing. Did a stellar job in his at-bat in which he gained the lead for his team to win, coming in with confidence and bringing in an RBI. Based on his body and playstyle, once he fills out even more, he’ll be someone to keep an eye out for.

Reagan Orozco (‘27, FL) • RHP/CF • Uncommitted • 6’0” 155lb
1-2, 2B, BB, R, 3RBI
Orozco is a very athletic 2-way player that pumps out 85 on the mound with a sharp slider and a delivery that is hard to pick up, and plays centerfield, showing excellent range while consistently hitting line drives to all fields when at the plate. He started in CF in the the semi-final. He came up to bat with bases loaded early in the game, and cleared the bases with a double over the left fielder’s head. Orozco has a projectable frame and is a very exciting player to watch as he continues to mature.

Athletic build, twitchy RHH. High hands setup, uphill bat path, clears the bases on the LD. Good approach at the dish, mature AB. Loud contact multiple times this weekend #MiamiOpen | #uncommitted | @EliteSquad

Jancarlos Bacallao (‘28, FL) • C • 5’7” 130lb
2-3, R, RBI
Bacallao showed off his all around game in the 15/16U semi-final. He collected 2 hits at the plate, scoring and driving in a run. Defensively, however, is where he truly shined. He threw out 2 would-be base stealers, one at second base and one at third. He displayed fluid footwork, a quick transfer, and a strong and accurate throwing arm. He got the ball out of his glove quickly and threw the ball from his ear, rather than taking a full windup. Bacallao will only get better as he gets stronger, and there is a lot to like about his current game.

Athletic backstop, clears nicely on this CS to third. Clean transfer + good throw, finds the base and puts it on the money. #MiamiOpen

Bengie Del Nodal (‘29, FL) • RHP • 5’9” 152lb
Young arm that showed a ton of upside in his outing today. FB up to 82mph, CH at 76mph had great depth, sharp hammer CB at 70mph that was his primary whiff pitch. Nodal took the hill for the semifinal on Monday, pitched 3.2 innings, allowing just 1 hit, 1 run, and striking out 3. Batters had trouble keeping up with the heater and were out in front of the offspeed and breaking ball, inducing weak contact.

Smooth + repeatable delivery showcasing 4 pitches. Shows ability to land all for strikes in any count. Generated weak contact only giving up one hit over 3.2 IP, still had K stuff working striking out 3 in the process.

Natron Wheeler (‘27, FL) • 3B • Uncommitted • 5’10” 190
Wheeler was a clear standout throughout the tournament. He had a great day at the plate in the championship win on Monday. He collected 2 hits and had a stolen base. Wheeler is a great athlete with loud tools. He is able to create power using a very simple load, and consistently creates hard contact.
